This is NOT a flea market, although that term is often misused to categorize the event. The focus is on complete range of antiques and collectibles from the 19th & 20th centuries. All items must be at least 20 years old and have some artistic or monetary value. This one-day summer market features over 500 exhibitors and is held at the park-like Sandwich Fairgrounds, with its beautiful 100-year-old trees and plenty of places to sit and rest. Located 60 miles west of Chicago just off US 34. Hours: 8am to 4pm, Central Standard Time. Sunday admission is $5 per person, parking is free and food is available for purchase. Now in its 17th season, the market is held rain or shine with over 200 exhibitors in buildings, and the remainder exhibit on the outside generally under a tent or other form of cover. The market is held on the third or fourth Sunday of the month, May through October.More than 65,000 collectors attend each summer.
